Linda Buskey LeBlanc was born in Syracuse, New York. She holds an M.A. in British Literature, taught high school English and creative writing for twenty-six years, and has studied poetry at workshops throughout the U.S. since 1999. Her poetry has been published in The Aurorean. Her first book of poetry, On Trains, was published by Codfish Press in 2008. In addition to writing poetry, her other passion is travel which includes time spent throughout the U.S., Mexico, the Caribbean, Europe, and the Far East. She resides on a cranberry bog on Cape Cod.
On Trains is a book of poetry about timeless topics and emotions: nature, war, family, friends, politics, loss, and love; fear, sorrow, anger, joy. It is literary, yet meant to appeal to all readers from poets to those who would never think of picking up a poetry book. It's themes, images, language and places invite connection with others and the world

Cold sun on bogs,
a marine ribbon
of river flowing
through left over snow,
tufts of brush
reach skyward.
